Admissions

Admissions Image

In every academic year, admissions to the University of Somalia begin as early as June and continue to the first 10 days of September. Due to the limited space available for the new entrants, it is the policy of the University to give time to those wishing to make sure that they are enrolled in the University in the beginning academic year. New students have more than two months to get enrolled for the degree or diploma programs of their choice.

The admission eligibility of the new students depends on the precondition that a student has completed his/her secondary education and has obtained his/her secondary leaving certificate. The main admissions season is during the months of July and August but there is still a chance to enroll for those students who could not enroll for the Fall Semester which begins 1st September. The University admits a limited number of students to Spring Semester which begins 1st March each year. The chances of getting admitted to certain degree programs are very limited in the second semester of the academic year.
